Photo Gallery VI: Remodeled Kitchen A touch of Tuscany and Provence: Really only about as far apart as Minneapolis and Chicago it is difficult to differentiate between antique furniture from the Tuscany region of Italy and Aix-en-Provence, France-even for antiques dealers. The inspiration for the island design was an antique French buffet. The custom designed range hood is hand carved limestone, carved by a real French stone mason. The perimeter cabinets are not yet shown here, but look to the Butler’s pantry for the feeling.
